T1ER Names Showcase Peak Performers

The North American Prospects Hockey League (NAPHL) is proud to announce the T1ER Peak Performers from the T1ER Showcase. The event took place September 24 - 27 in Blaine, Minnesota at the Super Rink. The Showcase featured competition from 15U, 16U, and 18U divisions, delivering impressive performances from across the league. These players earned Peak Performers awards due to their accomplishments on the ice. 

 

18U:

 

Forward: Barrett Skogland, Omaha Mastery

Barrett Skogland put together a stellar weekend performance as he ended the Showcase boasting 14 total points. Ending the weekend 4-1, Skogland led the Mastery to multiple dominant performances. He led the team in goals and total points scored. His scoresheet consisted of ten goals and four assists, and he had multiple 3+ point performances. His biggest performance happened on Sep 24 against the Valley Forge Minutemen. He recorded two assists and completed a hat trick with three goals. He carried that momentum into the rest of the weekend, where he would continue to dominate on the ice for the Mastery, ending the weekend with another hat trick performance against Belle Tire.

 

Defenseman: Harrison Dana, Omaha Mastery

Continuing the Mastery dominance trend, Harrison Dana also earned a Peak Performer award when he put together a stellar defensive performance during the Showcase. He recorded 11 total assists and one goal of his own, offering numerous offensive opportunities to his teammates. He opened the weekend by finding the back of the net on Sep 24 against the Valley Forge Minutemen. His biggest performance happened on Sep 25 against the Milwaukee Jr. Admirals. He boasted six assists, helping the Mastery to a 10-3 win over the Jr. Admirals. He ended the weekend with 12 total points.

 

Goaltender: Ian Lorang, Pittsburgh Stars

Ian Lorang was a fortress in between the pipes during the Showcase. He appeared in two games for the Pittsburgh Stars. He ended the weekend with a save percentage of .986 and .5 goals against average. His best performance of the weekend was on Sep 24 against the Milwaukee Jr. Admirals. He stopped all 31 shots, earning a shutout and helping the Stars beat the Jr. Admirals 2-0. He only let one goal by him on Sep 26 against Team North Dakota T1. Lorang helped move Pittsburgh to 4-0 on the season so far. 

 

16U: 

 

Forward: Louis Lamontagne, Carshield AAA

Louis Lamontagne made some crucial plays for Carshield AAA during the Showcase weekend. He boasted nine total points across four games. Carshield was met with tough competition all weekend long. Lamontagne rose to the challenge and secured the game winning goal during three separate games. He finished out the showcase with an overtime game winner when he scored with only 1:38 left in the extra frame. Overall his points consisted of six goals and three assists during the weekend, earning him a Peak Performer award. He led his team in points and goals scored. 

 

Defenseman: Asher Baron, Omaha Mastery

Omaha Mastery went undefeated during the Showcase with the help of Asher Baron, a defensive powerhouse who recorded six total points during the weekend, five being assists for his teammates and one goal of his own. His best performance from the weekend happened against the Colorado Rampage on Sep 25. He found the back of the net and recorded two assists to help aid his team in a 5-1 victory over the Rampage. The weekend left him ranked second on his team in points scored. 

 

Goaltender: Connor Newman, Sylvania North Stars

The Sylvania North Stars found themselves ranked #1 in the league after the Showcase with the help of Connor Newman, who was solid in between the pipes for his team all weekend long. He appeared in three games during the Showcase and ended the weekend with a record of 3-0, not dropping a single game. He earned two shutout performances, one against the MNHP Lakers and one against the LA Jr. Kings. He only let one goal slip by all weekend long, bringing his final save percentage to .984 and his goals against average to .33. 

 

15U:

 

Forward: Grant Volzke, Omaha Mastery

Grant Volzke ended the Showcase with an impressive 13 total points, earning him a Peak Performer award. He led the Omaha Mastery in point scored, and found opportunities for both himself and his teammates all weekend long. He scored four goals and recorded nine assists. His best performance of the Showcase happened on Sep 25 when he scored five points in a dominant 7-0 victory over the Colorado Rampage. He found the back of the net twice and recorded three assists. The Mastery are now on a four win streak. 

 

Defenseman: Mark Rulin, Pittsburgh Stars

Moscow, Russia native Mark Rulin was a crucial part of the Pittsburgh Stars defense all weekend long. He averaged 1.5 points per game and was effective on all 200 feet of the ice. He scored three goals and recorded three assists during the weekend. He found his way onto the scoresheet in every game. His best performance offensively was on Sep 26 against the Philadelphia Little Flyers when he found the back of the net twice, helping his team to a 7-2 win over the Little Flyers. The Pittsburgh Stars finished the weekend ranked #1 in the league. 

 

Goaltender: William Stewardson, Omaha Mastery

William Stewardson stood tall in the goal for the Omaha Mastery. He had stellar performances all weekend long as he appeared in two games during the Showcase. He didn’t let a single shot past him in both games against the Philadelphia Little Flyers and the New Jersey Jr. Titans, earning himself a perfect weekend. With his shutout performances his final weekend stats were a perfect 100% SV and he boasted a record of 2-0. The Omaha Mastery went undefeated during the Showcase and are ranked #2 in the league.
