Drew Watz Signs NAHL Tender Agreement

The NAPHL’s T1ER League is excited to announce the tender agreement signed between the Maryland Black Bears of the NAHL and the Biggby Coffee AAA Hockey 18U forward Drew Watz. The agreement will carry through the end of the 2026-27 season. 

During the 2025-26 NAT1HL season, Watz was a reliable piece of the Biggby Coffee offense. 

The Freeland, Michigan native showed elite poise and puck-moving ability throughout the 16 games that he played with Biggby Coffee during the 2025-26 NAT1HL season. 

Watz finished the season with 10 total points including 7 assists.

The most impressive performance of the season from Watz came on Nov. 2 against Dallas Stars Elite. In that game, Watz recorded three assists en route to a 7-3 victory for Biggby Coffee. Another great performance from Watz came on Oct. 19 when he scored a shorthanded goal against Carshield to help elevate his team to a 3-2 win. 

Walter is one of nine players from the Biggby Coffee AAA Hockey 18U team to sign a tender agreement with a NAHL team this season.

A tender is a contract, of sorts, a player signs announcing his intentions to play for that particular NAHL team and that NAHL team only. Once a player signs a tender with an NAHL team, his playing rights belong to that team within the NAHL and he may not be recruited by any other NAHL team. Each team is granted ten (10) tenders, which include two (2) tenders exclusively used on players from the T1ER - plus or minus any trades - which became active on November 1st. Tendered players are not eligible for the 2026 NAHL Draft
