Luke Walter Signs NAHL Tender Agreement

The NAPHL’s T1ER League is excited to announce the tender agreement signed between the Minot Minotauros of the NAHL and the Carshield AAA18U forward Luke Walter. The agreement will carry through the end of the 2026-27 season. 

During the 2025-26 NAT1HL season, Walter was an important contributor to Carshield’s dominant offense. In 17 games this season, Walter recorded 14 points. 

The make-up of those 14 points show the St. Louis, Missouri native’s balance on the offensive side of the puck. Walter finished the season with seven goals and seven assists. Those numbers slotted him as a top-five scorer on his team and a top-20 scorer in the league. 

The 2007 birth year is a big-game player as one of those seven goals came in the Dixon Cup Championship game against Indiana Elite. 

The most impressive performance of the season from Walter came on Oct. 16 against the Madison Capitals who finished as a top-five team in the league. The 5-foot-11 forward scored a goal and added two helpers for three total points in a hard-fought 5-4 victory by Carshield. 

Walter is one of twelve players from the Carshield AAA 18U team to sign a tender agreement with a NAHL team this season.

A tender is a contract, of sorts, a player signs announcing his intentions to play for that particular NAHL team and that NAHL team only. Once a player signs a tender with an NAHL team, his playing rights belong to that team within the NAHL and he may not be recruited by any other NAHL team. Each team is granted ten (10) tenders, which include two (2) tenders exclusively used on players from the T1ER - plus or minus any trades - which became active on November 1st. Tendered players are not eligible for the 2026 NAHL Draft
