PHC 18U forward Coots signs NAHL Tender

April 9, 2026

The NAPHL’s T1ER League is excited to announce the tender agreement signed between the Johnstown Tomahawks of the NAHL and the Philadelphia HC 18U AAA forward Ethan Coots. The agreement will carry through the end of the 2026-27 season.

During the 2025-26 NAT1HL season, Coots dominated even after only playing five games. In those games the Hershey, Pennsylvania native totaled 12 points including four goals. Those 12 points also leave Coots ranked in the top 30 across all players in the league in points.

The 2007 birth year also led the league in points per game by almost an entire point with 2.4. Coots has been a force throughout his career in the NAT1HL. During the 2023-24 season he was called up to the 18U team from the 16U team after recording 28 points in 12 games played.

It didn’t take long for Coots to dominate at the 18U level as he recorded five points in five games to end the season. Since that point, the 6-foot-2 forward has not averaged under 1.5 points per game in the NAT1HL.

In game three of five this season Coots had his best performance recording two goals and three assists against the Long Island Arrows. During that game he also netted a short-handed goal.

Coots is one of three players from the Philadelphia HC 18U AAA team to sign a tender agreement with a NAHL team this season.

A tender is a contract, of sorts, a player signs announcing his intentions to play for that particular NAHL team and that NAHL team only. Once a player signs a tender with an NAHL team, his playing rights belong to that team within the NAHL and he may not be recruited by any other NAHL team. Each team is granted ten (10) tenders, which include two (2) tenders exclusively used on players from the T1ER - plus or minus any trades - which became active on November 1st. Tendered players are not eligible for the 2026 NAHL Draft.
