NAHL Detroit Combine & SHOW League Top Prospects Tournament Kicks Off Tomorrow

The second North American Hockey League (NAHL) Combine of the year begins tomorrow afternoon at Suburban Ice - Rochester in Rochester, Michigan! The event is welcoming over 400 junior-aged and 16U prospects eager to showcase their skills while looking to earn their opportunity to play in the NA!

Heading into the Detroit Combine, the NAHL is coming off a successful St. Louis Combine. Seven players signed NAHL and NA3HL tenders following the event, reinforcing the league’s pathway and the opportunity available to those who perform!

From elite competition to real-time coaching, exposure, and video/analytics through NAScout, the NAHL Combine continues to deliver a true junior hockey experience.

Participants at the Detroit Combine will take part in four games. The players receive coaching and real-time evaluations from NAHL and NA3HL staff, giving them a true taste of the NAHL experience.

In conjunction with the Detroit Combine, the SHOW League Top Prospects Tournament is held alongside. The event features the top SHOW players competing in an All-Star format — all in front of NAHL and NA3HL coaches and scouts. It is  a one-stop evaluation environment showcasing both current and future talent.

The NAHL Combine Experience

The NAHL Combines are designed to provide players and their families with a comprehensive introduction to the junior hockey development path. The event is built on three key principles:

➜ Education – Learn the path with the help of seminars covering NCAA advancement, eligibility, and the USA Hockey development model

➜ Exposure – Compete in front of NAHL, NA3HL staff & scouts

➜ Experience – High-level games, real-time coaching, and direct feedback

Throughout the weekend, NAHL staff will be available on-site to answer questions and ensure an exceptional experience for all participants. The weekend also features the NAHL Recruiting Experience & Seminar, providing valuable insights for players and families navigating the junior hockey landscape.
