Seattle 18U defenseman Hlinka signs NAHL Tender
The NAPHL’s T1ER League is excited to announce the tender agreement signed between the Chippewa Steel of the NAHL and the Seattle Jr. Kraken 18U defenseman Henry Hlinka. The agreement will carry through the end of the 2026-27 season.
In his final season of youth hockey, Hlinka recorded 17 points (four goals, 13 assists) in 16 games for the Jr. Kraken. That leaves the Lake Forest Park, Washington native tied for eighth in points, second amongst defensemen.
Along with being tied for eighth in total points, the 13 assists that Hlinka recorded in the 16 games played this season leaves him tied for first in the league in assists across all positions.
Starting in 2023 Hlinka has played three seasons with Seattle, two with the 16U team and this final season with the 18U team.
Nov. 23, 2025 marked the right handed defenseman’s best performance against Mount Academy. With three goals plus an assist, Hlinka recorded a point on four of the Jr. Kraken’s nine goals in the 9-4 victory.
Hlinka is the first and only player currently from the Seattle Jr. Kraken 18U team to sign a tender agreement with a NAHL team this season.
