Corpus Christi forward Borozinskis makes NCAA D1 commitment

The Corpus Christi IceRays of the North American Hockey League (NAHL) are pleased to announce that forward Davis Borozinskis has committed to play NCAA Division I hockey for Western Michigan University in the NCHC.
Borozinskis, 17, made his NAHL debut with the IceRays during the 2021-22 season. The 5’10/170 lbs. native of Liepaja, Latvia, appeared in five NAHL games during the regular season and had four points (1 goal, 3 assists).
Borozinskis spent the majority of the 2021-22 season playing in the NAPHL for the Des Moines Bucceneers AAA 18U team. In 20 NAPHL games this past season he recorded 24 points (8 goals, 16 assists).
Borozinskis also recently took part in the NAHL Prospects Challenge playing for the IceRays 18U team at the event and recording 4 points in 5 games played.
He signed a tender to play in Corpus Christi for the 2022-23 season back on November 18, 2021.
Borozinskis previously played in the NAPHL during the 2019-20 season for the Sioux Falls Power 16U team where he had eight points in 17 NAPHL games played that season.
