Kenai River forward Monrean makes NCAA DI commitment

The Kenai River Brown Bears of the North American Hockey League (NAHL) are pleased to announce that forward Bryce Monrean has committed to play NCAA Division I hockey for the University of Alaska-Fairbanks.
Monrean, 18, is in his first season of junior hockey in the NAHL. The 5’11/165 lbs. native of Anchorage, AK, is having a very good rookie campaign for the Brown Bears. He is currently 2nd in team scoring with 37 points (10 goals, 27 assists) in 54 games played to date.
Monrean made his NAHL debut with Kenai River back on May 15, 2021.
Prior to playing in the NAHL, Monrean played in the NAPHL for the Alaska Oilers 16U team during the 2018-19 season, where he recorded four points in 17 games played during the regular season.
For the past two seasons, he has played for Fox Motors.
