SHOW League moves onto Semi-Final Sunday

The 2024 SHOW League Championship continued on Saturday, January 13th in Michigan with action in the 18, 16, and 14U levels. The event takes place from January 12-15 in Troy and Rochester, Michigan. All games will take place at Buffalo Wild Wings Arena in Troy and Suburban Ice in Rochester. 

The 2024 SHOW League Championship takes place during the NA3HL Tender distribution exclusive to the SHOW League. A champion will be crowned in both Gold and Silver Divisions. 

Divisions, competition and playoff seeding were determined by a series of data points utilized by the NAPHL Power Rankings. 

Admission to the Championship is free to the public.

Day 2 recaps:

18U: Tri-Valley Hockey Association secured a 4-2 victory against the Ontario Jr. Reign in a fiercely contested match. Jakob King, Dexter Harkness, Nolan Moore, and Vitaliy Zagorodniy were instrumental in the win. The Pekin Dragons emerged victorious in an overtime thriller, defeating the New Jersey Jr Titans 5-4. Colten Cox, Codey Wirtz, Deitrich Miller, Owen Gruden, and Owen Gruden were standout performers in this nail-biting clash. The Chicago Hawks displayed dominance with a 5-2 victory over the New Hampshire Monarchs. Bobby Barrett, Josh Taylor, Dmitry Tolstov, Brian Manns, and Liam Lecauchois contributed to the team's success. The St. Louis Sting secured a stellar 5-3 victory over Golden State Elite. Miles McCabe, Landon Oppeau, Andrew Tuffli, Ashton Whittley, and Ashton Whittley showcased their scoring prowess. In a closely contested match, the Philadelphia Little Flyers secured a 2-1 victory against the Orland Park Vikings. Matthew Stranix, Michael McDevitt, and Joseph Izzo were pivotal in the win. Pilot Mound Academy emerged victorious in a thrilling 4-3 encounter against the Texas Tigers. Alden Morris, Carter Constantino, Jaden Mah, Kalix Monkman, and Jacob Rota played crucial roles in the win. The San Diego Jets HS secured an exciting 3-2 victory over the Chicago Jets in a closely contested match. Cole Craft, Logan Wise, Patryk Niemiec, Chris Cerven, and Matthew Pyzowski played key roles. The St. Louis Sting emerged victorious with a 3-1 win over the Dallas Penguins in a highly competitive match. Will Schuler, Maddox Hamilton, and Brady Armstrong were the standout performers. Utah Jr. Mustangs Blue showcased dominance with a 5-2 victory over the Rose City Pats. Anders Waugaman, Easton McDonald, Brayden Murphy, and Brayden Murphy all found the back of the net in the win. Tahoe Hockey Academy secured a 5-2 victory over Utah Jr. Mustangs Red in an impressive display. Oni Domingues, Mike Little, Lebron Sam, Ethan Thomas, and Lebron Sam scored for Tahoe. Denver East secured a 3-0 victory over Monument Hockey Academy in a decisive match. Noah Schreiber, Noah Schreiber, and Peter Krug were key contributors. Pacific Ridge Hockey Club secured a 4-3 victory against the New Mexico Ice Wolves in a closely contested match. Yungi Kim, Torrey Man, Trevor Runck, Ian Swavely, and Aiden Garner all tickled twine for Pacific Ridge. SISU Thunderbirds secured a 3-2 victory over the Houston Aeros in a thrilling encounter. Christian Collins, Brayden Balemian, Nathan Horn, Logan Diskey, and Anders Waugaman were the goalscorers for SISU. In an overtime thriller, the Philadelphia Little Flyers secured a 3-2 victory over the Ontario Jr. Reign. Gabe Bedwell, Darin O'Dell, Takumi Pastora, Patrik Cech, and Landen Gallardo were pivotal in the win. The St. Louis Sting emerged victorious in overtime against the Chicago Flames, securing a 6-5 win. Brayden Mitchell, Evan Smarko, Trevor Bryson, Will Schuler, Colin Ammel, Charlie Domaracki, Zach DeGen, Alex Piekutowski, and Cooper Olson showcased their skills with goals for St. Louis. The Chicago Hawks displayed dominance with a 7-0 victory over San Diego Jets HS. Josh Taylor, Ryan Good, Joseph Teichman, Andrew Nuget, and Liam Lecauchois were key contributors. The Texas Tigers secured a 2-1 shootout victory over the New Jersey Jr Titans in a closely contested match. Josh Bain scored the lone goal in regulation for New Jersey. The Orland Park Vikings doubled Tri-Valley’s scoring output, taking them down 4-2. Andrew Speh scored the game winning goal late in the 3rd for Orland Park. Golden State Elite dominated the Dallas Penguins 6-2. Cameron Candelaria scored multiple goals in the win. The Chicago Jets edged past the New Hampshire Monarchs 4-3. Nicholas Scavone had a hat trick for the Jets. The Pekin Dragons defeated Pilot Mound Academy 4-3 in overtime. Owen Gruden buried the decisive goal in the extra period. Utah Jr. Mustangs blue took down the Houston Aeros 5-2. Anders Waugaman scored twice for Utah in the victory. Pacific Ridge Hockey Club edged past Denver East 4-3. Gerald Smith lit the lamp twice in the win. The New Mexico Ice Wolves shutout Utah Jr. Mustangs Red 2-0. Tristan Spranger and John Zink scored the lone goals in the contest. SISU Thunderbirds dominated the Rose City Pats 7-0. Alexander Morrison tallied himself a hat trick en route to victory. Tahoe Hockey Academy narrowly defeated Monument Hockey Academy 3-2. Derrick Pedersen, Payne Sweeney, and Trevor Stones were the goal scorers for the victors. 

16U: California Wave defeated Tahoe Hockey Academy 4-1. Jesse Hamrick, Anthony Trutanich, Cameron Trompeta, and Brian Pajar all found the back of the net for the Wave. The Orland Park Vikings shutout the North Carolina Golden Bears 2-0. Nick Seaman and Connor Kennedy were the goalscorers for the Vikings. The Tampa Bay Crunch 08’s buried three goals en route to a 3-1 victory over SISU Thunderbirds. Robbie Schlifke had a pair of goals in the win. The Santa Clara Blackhawks edged pas Utah Jr. Mustangs Blue 4-3. Dominic Powell scored twice in the win for Santa Clara. The Tampa Bay Crunch 07’s defeated the St. Louis Sting 6-3. Joseph Pocrnic tallied a hat trick in the victory. The Rose City Pats took down Utah Jr. Mustangs Red narrowly, 2-1. Ethan Foster and Richard Walla were the offensive producers for Rose City. The Chicago Hawks dominated Tahoe Hockey Academy 7-1. Brody Boyer and Penn Russell both tallied multiple goals in the victory. The Park City Ice Miners shutout the Ontario Jr. Reign 8-0. Paxton Dennison and Kaden Yenny both contributed multiple goals in the landslide victory. The California Wave took down the Chicago Jets 4-1. Mackenzie Hunter scored twice including the game winner for California. Cameron Dames scored 2:10 into overtime to give the Midwest Blackbirds a 6-5 victory. Louis Teodori contributed a pair of goals in regulation for the Blackbirds. 

14U: The Orland Park Vikings dominated the Park City Ice Miners 8-2. Ethan Lopez tallied a hat trick in the victory. The North Carolina Golden Bears edged past the Vegas Jr. Golden Knights 3-2 in the shootout. Haiden Holly and Jason Pirri scored the goals in regulation for Vegas. The Park City Ice Miners bounced back to dominate the Ontario Jr. Reign 9-3. John Hemmescch scored three times to secure the hat trick for the Ice Miners. The Orland Park Vikings shutout the North Carolina Golden Bears 6-0. Logan Hart, Kale deFreese, Christopher Stadnicki, Ethan Lopez, Chase Riechers, and Des Gill all found the back of the net for the Vikings.
