NAPHL announces Showcase Division Apex Learning Peak Performers

The North American Prospects Hockey League (NAPHL) announced its Apex Learning Virtual School Peak Performers for the Showcase Division standouts for the month of October. The players were selected based upon their performance at the fourth NAPHL event of the season, which took place in Blaine, Minnesota from October 16-18, 2020. Stats were based on ALL games played.

 

18U Showcase Apex Peak Performer (Offense) – Maxim Thellab, Clearwater Ice Storm

Thellab, 17, had eight points in four games during the Blaine event, which included five goals and three assists. Thellab recorded at least a point in all four games and had two multi-point games.

#2 Star: Benjamin Ford, Littleton Hawks

#3 Star: Seth Dragojevic, Texas Tigers

 

18U Showcase Apex Peak Performer (Defense) – Rhett Hopkins, Clearwater Ice Storm

Hopkins, 17, posted six points (3 goals, 3 assists) during the event in Blaine, which included points in three of the four games and a four-point game.

#2 Star: Nick Smith, Anaheim Jr. Ducks

#3 Star: Billy O’Grady, Cherry Creek

 

18U Showcase Apex Peak Performer (Goaltender) – Parker Fromin, Littleton Hawks

Fromin played in all four games in Blaine and went a perfect 4-0. He posted one shutout and allowed just five goals in the four games, stopping 82 of 87 total shots for a 1.25 goals against average and .943 save percentage.

#2 Star: Kaleb Ellington, Clearwater Ice Storm

#3 Star: Brendan Klim, Tri Valley Blue Devils

 

16U Showcase Apex Peak Performer (Offense) – Connor Williamson, Chesterfield Falcons

Williamson, 16, recorded multi-point games in all four contests in Blaine and ended up with 11 points (5 goals, 6 assists) during the event. That included a hat-trick in his final game of the event.

#2 Star: Dawson Higgins, Park City Ice Miners

#3 Star: Anthony Conti, Affton Americans

 

16U Showcase Apex Peak Performer (Defense) – Mason Budde, Affton Americans

Budde, 15, had six points in four games during the event in Blaine. That included two goals, both of which were game-winners, and four assists and also included two multi-point games.

#2 Star: Tyson Davenport, Affton Americans

#3 Star: Kyle Mager, Chesterfield Falcons

 

16U Showcase Apex Peak Performer (Goaltender) – Cedric Choi, Littleton Hawks

Choi, 16, posted a shutout in both of his starts during the event in Blaine, as he faced a total of 54 shots in the two wins and was perfect making 54 saves.

#2 Star: Chase Miller, Dallas Penguins

#3 Star: Sally Sweeney, Park City Ice Miners

 

14U Showcase Apex Peak Performer (Offense) – William Lloyd, Anaheim Jr. Ducks

Lloyd, 14, had eight points in four games, which included six goals and two assists. Lloyd had two hat-tricks during the event and recorded at least a point in three of the four games played.

#2 Star: Aydin Duncan-Morgan, Dallas Penguins

#3 Star: Nikita Ilichev, Houston Wild

 

14U Showcase Apex Peak Performer (Defense) – Hunter Toms, Vegas Jr. Golden Knights

Toms, 14 recorded three points (2 goals, 1 assist) during the event in Blaine and had points in three of his four games played.

#2 Star: Andrew Warne, Houston Wild

#3 Star: Landon Zheng, Dallas Penguins

 

14U Showcase Apex Peak Performer (Goaltender) – Tommy Andreef, Anaheim Jr. Ducks

Andreef, 14, posted shutouts in both of his starts in Blaine, which included making 21 saves in the two wins.

#2 Star: Istvan Szunyogh, Houston Wild

#3 Star: Cameron Munteanu, Ontario Jr. Reign
