NAPHL announces December Apex Learning Peak Performers for Showcase Division

The North American Prospects Hockey League (NAPHL) announced its Apex Learning Virtual School Peak Performers for Showcase Division standouts for the month of December. The players were selected based upon their performance at the sixth NAPHL event of the season, which took place in Blaine, Minnesota from October December 13-16, 2019. Stats were based on ALL games played.

 

18U Showcase Apex Peak Performer (Offense) – Tyler Heinz, Highland Park Falcons

Heinz, 18, posted some big offensive numbers at the December event. The 5’10/195 lbs. native of Wauconda, Illinois, had 15 points in four games, which included nine goals and six assists. For the NAPHL season, Heinz is tied for 3rd in NAPHL Showcase Division scoring this season with 19 points in 8 games played.

18U Showcase Apex Peak Performer (Defense) – Jason Vogler, Highland Park Falcons

Highland Park Falcons defenseman Jason Vogler, 17, helped his team to a perfect record in December in Blaine. The 6’1/150 lbs. native of Wauconda, Illinois had six points in the four wins, which included two goals and four assists. For the season, Vogler leads all 18U Showcase Division blueliners in scoring this season with 11 points in eight games played.

18U Showcase Apex Peak Performer (Goaltender) – Tyler Briles, Naperville Sabres

Naperville Sabres goalie Tyler Briles, 17, kept his perfect NAPHL season record in tact with two more wins in Blaine. The 6’2/150 lbs. native of Woodridge, Illinois, stopped 39 of a possible 41 shots during the event and gave up one goal in each of his two wins. For the season, Briles has a perfect 4-0 record in NAPHL play with a 1.23 goals against average and .929 save percentage.

16U Showcase Apex Peak Performer (Offense) – Heath Mensch, Vegas Jr. Golden Knights

Vegas Jr. Golden Knights 16U forward Heath Mensch, 16, racked up the points during the December event in Blaine. The 5’10/150 lbs. native of Las Vegas, Nevada, potted 11 points in four games, which included seven goals and four assists. For the season, Mensch is tied for 2nd in NAPHL 16U Showcase Division scoring with 14 points in eight games played.

16U Showcase Apex Peak Performer (Defense) – Stevie Eilers, Highland Park Falcons

Highland Park Falcons 16U defenseman Stevie Eilers, 16, helped his team to four more wins at the December event. The 5’9/170 lbs. native of Lake in the Hills, Illinois, recorded at least a point in all four wins and had a total of eight points, which included four goals. For the season, Eilers leads all NAPHL 16U Showcase Division defensemen in scoring with 13 points in eight games played.

#3 Star: Drew Whitener, Affton Americans

 

16U Showcase Apex Peak Performer (Goaltender) – Sebastian Kavalauskas, Geneva Cyclones

It has been a perfect NAPHL season thus far for 16-year-old Geneva Cyclones goalie Sebastian Kavalauskas. The 6’0/165 lbs. native of Lockport, Illinois, posted two more shutouts during the December event in Blaine. He stopped all 25 shots that came his way in the two games. For the season, Kavalauskas has a perfect record of 4-0 in NAPHL games and has not allowed a goal yet this season in league play.
