NAPHL unveils 10th anniversary logo and event schedule

May 23, 2018
On the heels of its 10th anniversary season, the North American Prospects Hockey League (NAPHL) has announced the unveiling of its 10th Anniversary logo along with its 2018-19 event schedule.

“We have a great line-up of teams set to announce and some exciting changes involving our NAPHL divisional structure, which will enhance and improve our competition. The NAPHL is in the midst of an era of tremendous progress, growth and consistency thanks to our recent successes of player advancement and development,” said NAPHL Director and NAHL Director of Player Personnel Tony Zasowski. “Over the last 10 years, the NAPHL has provided so much opportunity for aspiring student-athletes to develop and grow as hockey players and men. It is a reflection on how far the league has come in a very short period of time and a testament to those who started the NAPHL who had the vision to create a league that has now become the best of its kind in USA Hockey.”

The 10th anniversary artwork will serve as the NAPHL’s primary logo on all web and print-related marketing materials for the 2018-19 season, as well as on player helmet stickers, jersey patches and on-ice official patches. It will also be displayed prominently at all NAPHL events, beginning with the first event of the season in September in Blaine, Minnesota, and continuing with the NAPHL All-Star Games and Dixon Cup Championship.

For the 2018-19 season, the NAPHL will be divided into three age divisions that will compete at the USA Hockey Tier I 18U, 16U, and 15U levels. The teams and divisional alignment for the 2018-19 season will be announced in the very near future.

The NAPHL has enjoyed a record-breaking amount of advancement in recent seasons, which is highlighted by a large amount of advancement of players to the North American Hockey League (NAHL). No other USA Hockey Midget Tier I league has had more players play in the NAHL over the course of the last two seasons than the NAPHL. Currently, 46 players from the NAPHL have been tendered to play in the NAHL for the upcoming 2018-19 season. During the past two years, 120 NAPHL players have signed an NAHL tender or been drafted into the NAHL, a remarkable total.

Another one of the big advantages of the NAPHL is the exclusive NAHL Central Scouting system. It is one of the big reasons that the NAPHL is advancing more and more players on to the NAHL than ever before are the direct benefits associated being directly involved with one another. NAHL Central Scouting is dedicated to identifying NAPHL hockey players, evaluating them in a true unbiased manner and then organizing and providing that information to NAHL teams. No other midget league in the United States has a system like it, where its primary mission is the advancement of players.
