Maine forward Gratz makes NCAA commitment

March 2, 2018
The Maine Wild of the NA3HL are pleased to announce that forward Jeffrey Gratz has committed to play NCAA Division III hockey for Framingham State University for the 2018-19 season.

Gratz, 20, is playing in his first full season of junior hockey in the NA3HL with the Wild. The 5’9/170 lbs. native of Elkins Park, Pennsylvania, is currently 2nd in team scoring with 56 points (17 goals, 39 assists) in 41 games played.

Gratz is also an alumni of the NAPHL’s Valley Forge Minutemen, having played last year for the 18U team. Prior to playing for the Wild this season, he played for the Minutemen in youth hockey since the 2013-14 season.

“Jeff has had a terrific season for the Wild this year. We are very happy for Jeff and his family on his commitment to Framingham State,” said Maine Wild Head Coach Jeff Tory.

“I am very excited to continue my education and hockey career at Framingham State. Thank you to my family for always supporting me and bringing out my best as well as my friends, teammates, and coaches for all their support. Coach Tory and Coach Léveillé, as well as the Maine wild organization as a whole, for developing me as a player and person, and putting me in a position for success. I am very excited to help bring the Wild to a great playoff run,” said Gratz.
