NAPHL 16U Recap: Day 3

Brett Reed leads the NAPHL 16U Division in scoring with 20 points in 8 games.

RECAP: Day 3 of Showcase

Seeing Double
In day 3 of the Showcase, four players scored at least two goals in one game today. Kaleb Kohn tallied two goals for the Madison Capitols, giving him six points (5G, 1A) in five games this season. The goals helped the Capitols to a 3-2 win over the Rocky Mountain RoughRiders, their third win of the weekend.

Alex Bolshakov notched two goals for the Everett Silvertips Elite in a 4-1 win over the California Titans, totaling 11 points (7G, 4A) in eight games this season, his third goal this weekend.

The Sioux Falls Jr. Stampede had two players on their squad that tallied two goals today in a 7-1 win over the New Jersey Jr. Titans. Forward Brett Reed also had an assist in the win, giving him 20 points (13G, 7A) this season in just eight games with the Stampede and 11 points(7G, 4A) this weekend. Defensemen Simon Belanco also tallied two goals and assist today, giving him six points (4G, 2A) in eight games with the Stampede.

Back on Track

The Everett Silvertips Elite bounced back after falling in their first loss of the season to the Rocky Mountain RoughRiders yesterday in a 4-1 win over the California Titans. The Silvertips improved their record to 7-1-0 this season.

The Esmark Stars also entered the showcase weekend undefeated, but fell 2-1 to the Rocky Mountain RoughRiders on Friday. The Stars came back and shutout the Washington Little Capitals 2-0 on Saturday and beat the Dallas Blackhawks Elite 3-1 today. The Stars improved their record to 7-1-0 this season.

Tank on Top

Carter Tank of Meijer AAA saved all shots on goal in a 4-0 win over Pursuit of Excellence today. Tank improved his record to 3-1-0 this season and boasts a 1.00 GAA with a 0.953% save percentage. The shutout was the first of the season for Tank.
