Omaha 16U defenseman Wilkie makes NCAA DI commitment

The Omaha AAA Hockey Club, proud members of the North American Prospects Hockey League (NAPHL), are pleased to announce that 16U defenseman Coltan Wilkie has committed to play NCAA Division I Hockey at Colorado College starting in the fall of 2019.
 
Colorado College is a member of the National Collegiate Hockey Conference (NCHC).
 
Wilkie is a native of Omaha, Nebraska and is in his second season with the Omaha AAA U16 Hockey Club. So far during the 2016-17 season, the 5'9/175 lbs. Wilkie has amassed 7 goals and 68 assists for 75 points in 47 games overall for the Omaha AAA U16 team that is currently ranked #6 in the country.
 
In NAPHL league play to date , the 16-year-old has 3 goals and 29 assists for 32 points in 13 games which puts him second in the overall scoring title race . The Omaha U16 team is currently atop the 16U standings with a 13-0 record. Wilkie was also selected to and is scheduled to play in the 16U All-Star Game on Sunday, December 4th at 6pm.
 
Wilkie is a tremendous skater and defender who plays a very solid two way game and was a highly sought after prospect by many Division 1 schools. Wilkie was named the NAPHL Apex Learning Peak Performer for 16U Defensemen in September and October this season.
 
Wilkie now becomes the first member of this years 16U team in Omaha to receive an NCAA Division 1 Hockey Scholarship.
