November 23, 2016
The Rocky Mountain RoughRiders, proud members of the NAPHL, are proud to announce that former Goaltender Zack LaRocque has committed to play NCAA Division I hockey and attend school at the Air Force Academy.

LaRocque, an Arvada, CO native,19, played for the RM RoughRiders 18U AAA team for the 2014-15 season where they won the 18U AAA CAHA Tier I State Championship.  Zack also played for the 18U AAA team for the 2015-16 season in the NAPHL and was called up to the USHL Cedar Rapids RoughRiders that season.  He posted a .902 Save Percentage and 2 shutouts for Cedar Rapids.

The Air Force Academy competes in the NCAA Division I Atlantic Hockey Conference and is coached by Frank Serratore.

“Zack has worked very hard both on and off the ice to get where he is now.  The opportunity to play and attend school at the Air Force Academy is an unbelievable opportunity for him,” said RoughRiders Director of Hockey Operations Derek Robinson. “Zack is a great representative of the RoughRiders Hockey Club and we wish him the best of luck in his academic and hockey career.”

The RoughRiders would like to congratulate Zack and his family on this wonderful accomplishment.
