California 18U forward Horowitz signs NAHL tender

March 30, 2015
The California Titans of the North American Prospects Hockey League (NAPHL) are pleased to announce that 18U forward Frank Horowitz has signed an NAHL tender agreement with the Minnesota Magicians.  The Magicians compete in the NAHL’s Midwest Division.

Horowitz, 18, joined the Titans towards the end of the season this past year, playing in the final NAPHL regular season event in January in Troy, MI, as well as, the NAPHL Championship Series.

The native of Beverly Hills, California made an immediate impact for the Titans in the regular season, scoring seven points in five regular season games during the last regular season event.  Horowitz (6’2/190) also had three points in four playoff games.

Prior to this season, Horowitz played for Avon Old Farms prep school in Connecticut.

Horowitz is the fifth California Titans 18U player to sign an NAHL tender this season.

A tender is a contract, of sorts, a player signs announcing his intentions to play for that particular NAHL team and that NAHL team only. Once a player signs a tender with an NAHL team, his playing rights belong to that team within the NAHL and he may not be recruited by any other NAHL team. Each team is granted ten (10) tenders, which include two (2) tenders exclusively used on players from the NAPHL - plus or minus any trades - which became active on Nov. 1. Tendered players are not eligible for the NAHL draft, which will be held on June 9, 2015.
