HC Dallas forward Hatton signs NAHL tender

HC Dallas of the North American Prospects Hockey League (NAPHL) are pleased to announce that 18U team forward Peter Hatton has signed an NAHL tender agreement with the Rio Grande Valley Killer Bees The Killer Bees compete in the NAHL’s South Division.
Hatton, 18, just completed his first season playing in the NAPHL for HC Dallas. The native of Double Oak, Texas, has a great year as he led his team in scoring this season with 32 points in 24 games played, which included 10 goals and 22 assists during the regular seasion.
His 22 assists ranked 2nd among all NAPHL 18U players and his 32 points ranked 6th. Hatton also had six points in four playoff games for the HC Dallas 18U team, who qualified for the Gold Division Playoffs this past season.
Hatton (5’9/170) also was one of the select players at the 18U level to compete in both the inaugural 18U All-Star Game in January and the NAPHL Top Prospects Tournament in February. Hatton played for the East Team at the Top Prospects Tournament, recording two assists at the event. He went scoreless in the All-Star Game for Team Blue.
He is the first HC Dallas player this season to sign an NAHL tender.

A tender is a contract, of sorts, a player signs announcing his intentions to play for that particular NAHL team and that NAHL team only. Once a player signs a tender with an NAHL team, his playing rights belong to that team within the NAHL and he may not be recruited by any other NAHL team. Each team is granted ten (10) tenders, which include two (2) tenders exclusively used on players from the NAPHL - plus or minus any trades - which became active on Nov. 1. Tendered players are not eligible for the NAHL draft, which will be held on June 9, 2015.
