Esmark 18U defenseman Ramage called up to NAHL

The Esmark Stars of the North American Prospects Hockey League are pleased to announce that 18U defenseman Tristan Ramage has been called up by the NAHL’s Johnstown Tomahawks to play in their weekend series in Springfield, Illinois against the Jr. Blues
 
Ramage, 17, is in his third season in the NAPHL with the Esmarck/Pittsburgh program. The native of Evan City, Pennsylvania, anchors a Stars defense that is second in the 18U Division in least goals allowed per game at just 1.53. Back in November, Ramage signed a tender to play for the Tomahawks next season.
 
Through 19 NAPHL games this season, Ramage (6’2/195) has eight points (2 goals, 6 assists). Six of eight points this season in NAPHL action have come on the power play.  Ramage had four points at the Showcase in San Jose and three at the first event in Blaine in September.
 
This past summer, Ramage played on Team East at the 2013 NAPHL Top Prospects Tournament in Frisco, Texas. Ramage had three points in four games and helped Team East to the Top Prospects title.
 
During the 2012-13 season, he spent time on both the Pittsburgh 18U and 16U squads. While with the 18U team, Ramage had 11 points in 17 games and played in four playoff games, recording two points.  He also appeared in 15 games with the 16U team. During the 2011-12 season, Ramage played in 15 games for the 16U team, recording six assists.  He played in four playoff games, recording one point.
